The Cullinan group has operated in South Africa for 35 years, establishing itself firstly as an Outbound Wholesaler in 1978. The Company employs approximately 1000 travel & leisure experts in a number of companies and has a fleet of approximately 150 vehicles, including luxury coaches, mini buses and safari 4x4 vehicles.
- Coach charter and touring – Hylton Ross, Ikapa Coach Charter and Thompsons Touring
- Retail travel agencies – the Pentravel chain of travel agencies and Thompsons Corporate and Leisure Travel

- Outbound Wholesalers – Thompsons Holidays, Naiade Holidays and Computicket Travel
- Inbound wholesale and dmc – Thompsons Africa, Planet Africa and Ikapa Tours and Travel
- Marine and Boating – Central Boating and Manex Marine
The various brands within the Cullinan group are prominent in the South African travel industry, with Thompsons Holidays being the largest wholesale tour operator in Southern Africa by a large margin.
The Inbound DMC’s are well known in the worldwide travel trade as definitive Inbound operators into Southern Africa. The group operates in 3 main centres, being Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban. However, the business also has smaller offices in 13 centres in Southern Africa, including offices at all major airports, as well as branches in major tourism nodes such as the Kruger Park, Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, Chobe National Park in Botswana and in Windhoek, Namibia.
The 33 travel agencies are widely dispersed, operating mainly from high traffic shopping malls.
The Marine and Boating businesses distribute well known yachting and leisure brands through a wholesale and retail network.
