Uniworld was credited for making waves in a category in which it is a relative newcomer.  This category, which includes both ocean and river cruise lines, had previously been dominated by established cruise lines such as Silversea, Cunard and Celebrity.  

The awards were voted by the readers of The Guardian, The Observer and guardian.co.uk.  Each category is won by the best percentage score from all the voters, with Uniworld scoring flawless 100% from all of its voters.
